New FusionDox Clients in Development for FireFox and IE
We are pleased to announce that we are in late stage development of an updated FusionDox client, which will be compatible with FireFox 3 and Internet Explorer 5.5+ (including 7, and the upcoming version 8).
For those of you who are new to FusionDox, the FusionDox client is a browser component which automates large file transfer between a FusionDox repository and your local PC. Using the client, users can click a single button in their web browser, and have large files transferred from the server to their PC, and automatically opened in their default application. When you save and close the document, the client also handles the upload back to the server and removes the old file from your local PC. This patent-pending technology is revolutionary and completely streamlines the user experience between desktop and remove web server.
This update means a lot of good things for FusionDox users: a) Easier installation process, b) no more browser security configuration, and c) a universal javascript API for both IE and FireFox.
This feature is scheduled to be included in the upcoming FusionDox 2009 edition.
